Contemporary Art Center volunteers are vital to the strength and success of the CAC and help in our mission to provide unique art programming and experiences to the community.

As the largest non collecting Contemporary Art Museum in the country, we are routinely in need of volunteers to assist with openings, events, and day to day operations.  There are many reasons why our volunteers choose to do what they do.  Whether you volunteer because you love the work, love the art, love the people, love the institution, or love the city, please let us know what is important to you so we can find a good fit.

Volunteer Opportunities

Special Event and Programming Volunteers

Help us host some of the best events and programming in the city.  From ourcreative One Night One Craft series to our wine and dine Annual Art Auction, the CAC hosts a number of events that need outgoing, friendly, and dependable volunteers.  Most shifts are 4-5 hours, and do not require a yearly minimum.

Front Desk Volunteers

Front Desk Attendants are the front line of customer engagement here at the CAC.  From processing admission fees, selling memberships, and answering questions, all attendants are expected to help us create an inviting and engaging environment for our guests.  Front Desk Attendants have to commit to at least a 4 hour shift, once a week, during our operating hours.  This volunteer position has a limited availability, and is not always available.
