Programs and events for the CAC’s young adult visitors. From Teen Council meetings to workshops and drop-in studio visits, all CAC teen programs are FREE!
The Contemporary Young Adults (C-YA) program at the CAC provides a yearlong, arts focused experience to a select group of students. This program welcomes teens to explore, create and discuss contemporary art through hands on workshops, gallery tours and a large, student planned event for other teens in the community.
Accepted applicants meet regularly on the first Wednesday of each month. Each meeting will include two parts: a private workshop with a local artist and a student led planning committee focusing on promoting teen involvement at the CAC. Dinner will be provided at all monthly meetings.
Applicants must be enrolled in high school, or home-schooled and between the ages of 14-18 years old.
Enrollment for 2017-18 is now closed. If you have any questions regarding this year's program, please contact Elizabeth Hardin-Klink: email@example.com
Enrollment for the Contemporary Young Adult Class of 2018-2019 will begin in the spring of 2018. All applicants must submit an application and letter of reference to Elizabeth Hardin-Klink at:
All applications must be in by June 30, 2018. Interviews will take place throughout the summer. The first session will begin in September, 2018.
