The seventh annual Silk & Spice Gala returns to the Contemporary Arts Center's Lois & Richard Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art May 10. This year's Visionary Honoree is Jay Chatterjee. The event celebrates the CAC's nearly seven decades of presenting contemporary art in Cincinnati.

This year, the CAC's art auction offers the opportunity for art collectors to bid on works of extraordinary design and form by leading contemporary architects. The architects' final designs are fabricated in Formica® Brand materials and will be available for preview in early May. Christie's will officiate a love auction of the designs May 10.

An exhibition titled FORM: Contemporary Architects at Play celebrates the CAC's fifth year in the Lois & Richard Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art, Hadid's first completed architectural project in the United States. Exhibition dates: May 3 through August 31.

All proceeds from the Gala and live auction benefit CAC Programming. Formica Corporation is sponsoring the Gala by providing the materials and commissioning the fabricators to build the architects' designs.
