"So it is entirely consisten that, in conjunction with the prohpet of environmental art [Piet Mondrian], the Contemporary Arts Center should present the works of Stephen James - a sculptor in light. He works with large colored light bulbs or neon tubing, which he generally mounts on a backing consisting of a polished or mirrored surface" (Mondrian Environment catalog).
