Caledonia Curry, or Swoon, uses street art to make statements about place, society and identity. Students deal with these issues daily, with increasing intensity. Educators will receive a private tour of the Swoon exhibition. Following the tour, teachers will take part in a hands-on application of an activist-themed lesson plan to take back to the classroom.
Brunch and mimosas will be provided from 10:00-10:30. Educators are welcome to use this time for networking. Teacher Workshops are open to teachers and education students, for a minimal charge of $5.00, but space is limited and reservations are required. The tour will start promptly at 10:30 am.
