close

**** This program is currently sold out. If you would like to be added to the homeschool mailing list, please contact Kendahl Schloss at kschloss@contemporaryartscenter.org ****

Students will tour Njideka Akunyili Crosby’s exhibitionand explore how the artist works to create a bridge between her native Nigeria with her current home in the United States. Utilizing a typically Western photo transfer process, Crosby creates quilt-like collage reflecting textile design. Following the tour we will head to the UnMuseum to create transfer collages incorporating images from popular culture and personal histories in the tableau.

This program is designed for children ages 6-12 and their parent or caregiver. Space is limited. Tickets must be obtained in advance to reserve each child’s placement. There will be no charge for members but registration through Showclix is still required. There is a $5.00 charge per child for nonmembers.

Homeschool Wednesdays is made possible in part by state tax dollars allocated by the Ohio Legislature to the Ohio Arts Council (OAC). The OAC is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically. Additional funding is provided by the Charles H. Dater Foundation and Louise Taft Semple Foundation.
