Join us for a panel discussion of the impact and inspiration of the art and activism of Wilmington, OH, native Andrea Bowers, whose installation Womxn Workers of the World Unite! is on display at the CAC February 10 – June 18, 2017.

Bowers’ artistic career spans several key decades of Feminist Movement(s), and has evolved along with the movement to address more prominently issues facing marginalized subjects within the movement, including transgender and LGBTQ concerns. Panelists Sara Vance- a prominent local collector of contemporary feminist art, Rachelle Caplan- Director of Lady Fest Cincinnati, Michelle D’Cruz- Artist and Principal and Creative Director at Reverb Art + Design, and Anissa Lewis- Curator and Professor will discuss the connections between art, feminism and activism with moderator Madelyn Detloff- Professor of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality studies at Miami University.
