Homeschool Wednesday: Sky Cities Tour
close

Have you ever imagined what our neighborhoods and cities might look like in the future? Designer James Paulius and artist Tomás Saraceno envision communities migrating to the sky. Join us as we take a tour of the lobby’s newest installation Solar Bell and drop by the UnMuseum to learn more about the always popular Sky Villages. Following the tour students will employ engineering processes to design a Saraceno inspired tetrahedral kite. Students will also create a sky mobile, allowing each participant to design a floating village of their own.

This program is designed for children ages 6-12 and their parent or caregiver. Space is limited. Tickets must be obtained in advance to reserve each child’s placement. There will be no charge for members but registration through Showclix is still required. There is a $5.00 charge per child for nonmembers.

Join the CAC once a month for a special workshop designed specifically for homeschool families. During each program you will receive a private exhibition tour, participate in hands-on activities and be given an extended learning sheet with tips and resources for building on what you've discovered. This program is designed for children ages 6-12 and their parent or caregiver.

Homeschool Wednesdays is made possible in part by state tax dollars allocated by the Ohio Legislature to the Ohio Arts Council (OAC). The OAC is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically. Additional funding is provided by the Charles H. Dater Foundation and Louise Taft Semple Foundation.
