Artist Details
Marc Chagall was born in 1887 in Lion, Belarus. He attended the Imperial Society for the Protection of the Arts in Saint Petersburg, Russia from 1907-10. Chagall has been the subject of many solo exhibitions, including at the Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels, Belgium (1938); Museum of Modern Art, New York, NY (1946); Musée du Louvre, Paris, France (1977-78); and Musee National du Luxembourg, Paris, France (2013). Chagall died in 1985 in Saint Paul de Vence, France.
