Biography

Alison Crocetta was born in 1968 in New York, NY. She received a BFA in Sculpture from Alfred University in Alfred, NY and an MFA from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Crocetta has been the subject of several solo exhibitions and performances, including at Forum for Contemporary Art, St. Louis, MO (1996); Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus, OH (2011); Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (2018); and The Wexner Center for the Arts, Columbus, OH (2020). She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including AIM 23, The Bronx Museum of the Arts, Bronx, NY (2003); United States: Artist’s Projects, The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, Ridgefield, CT (2012); After the Moment: Reflections on Robert Mapplethorpe, Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (2015); and Open Channel, my contribution to Shift: Thinking Globally, Acting Locally, Ohio Arts Council’s Riffe Gallery, Columbus, OH (2021). Crocetta currently lives and works in Columbus, OH.
